Eaton's Third-Quarter Profit Rises
ehicle parts maker Eaton Corp. said Monday its third-quarter profit rose 17% from the same quarter last year, amid strong demand for truck parts and electrical products.

The company said that excluding one-time costs it would have earned $1.33 a share, putting it in a range it projected earlier this year.
evenue rose 10% to $2.79 billion, Eaton said. Its electrical business posted a 13% jump in revenue to $978 million.
Truck segment revenue rose 24% to $601 million. Nafta — North American Free Trade Agreement — region heavy-duty production gained 14% over the previous year, while medium-duty production fell 11%, Eaton said.
