Eaton Boosts Offer for British Firm

iversified manufacturer Eaton Corp. said Tuesday it has increased its cash offer from its previous Aug. 26 offer for the entire issued and to-be-issued share capital of U.K.-based domnick hunter group plc.

Eaton did not specify how much it had raised its offer but said that the directors of domnick hunter unanimously recommended that all of its shareholders accept the increased offer.

The British firm is an international group of companies specializing in the design and manufacture of leading filtration, separation and purification products and solutions for a wide range of industries and applications. It operates in 25 countries and employs more than 1,900 people.
