Daimler Trucks North America named David Carson senior vice president of sales and marketing — a move intended to consolidate responsibility for all sales and marketing of vocational and on-highway segments.

Carson is currently senior vice president of vocational sales and marketing, and adds responsibilities formerly held by Richard Howard.

Howard was promoted to president of newly established Daimler Truck Financial Services USA as Daimler Trucks prepares to go public — and was also appointed to the management board of Daimler Truck Financial Services responsible for North America and Asia.
