DHL Sets 4.9% Rate Increase for 2015

DHL Express has set a 4.9% average price increase for its account holders, effective Jan. 2.

The company said it adjusts its rates annually, taking into account inflation and other costs in the 220 countries and territories it operates.

The hike matches the 4.9% rate increase set recently by UPS Inc. for 2015.

Bonn, Germany-based Deutsche Post DHL is the parent company of Exel, which ranks No. 3 on the Transport Topics Logistics Top 50 list of North American logistics firms.
