DHL Opens Global Hub at Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky Airport

DHL said it has opened a $105 million newly expanded global hub at Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport.

The logistics company said enhancements include an expanded south ramp for additional wide-body aircraft, a new 180,000-square-foot sorting facility designed to accommodate larger express shipments as well and a facility wide information technology upgrade.

“Our investments in the DHL CVG [Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport] hub enable us to respond more quickly and effectively to the growing international activity we see, especially among small and mid size businesses,” Stephen Fenwick, CEO of DHL Express Americas said in a statement.

The hub will connect customers to 220 countries as well as DHL global hubs in Hong Kong and Germany, according to DHL.
