DHL Global Forwarding Starts US-Mexico LTL Service

DHL Global Forwarding has begun a less-than-truckload service between the United States and Mexico.

TransBorder Connect provides pickup, linehaul, border-crossing, cross-dock, border clearances and delivery at one price.

“Our new service offers customers who already do business in Mexico, or want to break into this market, the opportunity to have their goods picked up any day of the week via this new road freight solution,” Tim Robertson, DHL Global Forwarding's U.S vice president of sales, said in a statement.

Initial service routes link five markets in each country, with border crossings at Laredo, Texas.

U.S. markets consist of Atlanta, Dallas, Detroit, Los Angeles and Chicago. In Mexico, the markets are Guadalajara, Mexico City, Monterey, Queretaro and San Luis Potosi.

The offering provides a single point of contact, eliminating the need for multiple billing, the statement said.
