Delphi Reports Net Loss of $533 Million in August

ankrupt auto parts supplier Delphi Corp. posted a net loss of $533 million in August, Bloomberg reported Friday.

The company’s sales in for the month totaled $1.62 billion, Bloomberg said.

The loss includes $372 million in spending on worker buyout and retirement incentives, which the company is offering to workers as part of its efforts to reemerge from bankruptcy, Bloomberg reported.



About 73% of Delphi’s union workforce has agreed to buyout or early retirement offers, Bloomberg said.
