Dana Launches New Axle Products

NASHVILLE, Tenn. — Dana Holding Corp. announced the availability of new axle products during a press event here at the Technology & Maintenance Council’s annual meeting.

The company said Peterbilt Motors Co. and Kenworth Trucks are the first brands to offer the Spicer AdvanTek 40 tandem axle, which is available in a range of ratios.

A selection of 13 ratios, from 2.26 to 3.91, will be available in the summer, the company said.

The Spicer EconoTrek 6x2 tandem axle also is available for Peterbilt and Kenworth trucks. Dana said this product reduces vehicle weight by up to 400 pounds compared with a traditional 6x4 tandem-axle arrangement.

The company also launched two new Spicer S140 Series single-reduction, single-drive axles for Classes 6 and 7 trucks.
