Cummins, Corning Sign Deal on Emission Control Products

n a deal announced Wednesday, Corning Inc. will supply components of the emission control system that engine manufacturer Cummins Inc. will use to meet the Environmental Protection Agency’s 2007 emission standards for diesel engines.

Under the long-term agreement, Corning will supply Cummins with its DuraTrap filters and Celcor substrates, the engine manufacturer said in a statement.

Corning and Cummins Emissions Solutions, a Cummins unit that develops exhaust aftermarket technologies, had previously cooperated to integrate the Corning technologies into an aftertreatment platform for Cummins’ medium and heavy-duty diesel engines.
