Con-way Truckload Goes With Maptuit

Con-way Truckload said it is installing Maptuit NaviGo technology in all its trucks and owner-operator tractors equipped with Qualcomm computers.

About 20 trucks already have the upgrade, Con-way spokeswoman Wendy Brunner-Lewis told Transport Topics. The company’s decision followed a pilot study launched in September.

Maptuit NaviGo is supplied by Maptuit Corp.

Con-way Truckload said NaviGo systems will now be individually tested in all trucks at the carrier’s Joplin, Mo., headquarters. The fleetwide installment and integration process will take about six to eight months, Con-way said.

Con-way Inc. is ranked No. 3 on the Transport Topics 100 listing of U.S. and Canadian for-hire carriers.
