Commodity Forwarders Acquires Peninsula of Boston

Commodity Forwarders has reached an agreement to acquire perishables forwarder Peninsula of Boston. The acquisition of Peninsula gives Commodity Forwarders a presence in Boston to tap into the local market and strengthen its position in New York.

Peninsula of Boston has been in business for more than 50 years serving the Boston Seafood marketplace since 1970 as a leading independent transfer point for cross-docking and distribution in the Northeast.

Peninsula has a cold storage facility of 15,000 square feet, 18 staff and two vehicles.  Commodity Forwarders says it will invest in additional staff and add additional cold storage and vehicles. 

Commodity Forwarders has been in business since 1974 and employs more than 500 families in 13 locations. It is a leading perishables forwarder in the United States specializing in the transportation of perishable products worldwide.
