Chertoff to Address ATA’s Management Conference & Exhibition

epartment of Homeland Security Secretary Michael Chertoff will be a guest speaker for American Trucking Associations’ 2006 Management Conference & Exhibition, to be held Oct. 28-31 in Dallas, the trade group announced Monday.

Chertoff will speak at the Board of Directors and General Membership meeting on Oct. 31, ATA said in a statement.

“Secretary Chertoff’s participation is timely and of high importance to motor carriers and all attendees involved in the industry given the changed environment in which we operate and the various security requirements that impact the efficiency of the transportation industry,” said Bill Graves, president of ATA.
