BlueGrace Logistics, a third-party logistics firm, has acquired Continental Traffic Co. in the latest sign of growth over the last year-and-a-half.

Charlie Boesch, CTC’s owner, will join BlueGrace as a vice president of enterprise sales, bringing three other employees, too. BlueGrace has 465 employees and another 30 will begin Jan. 9. The logistics firm generates about half of its business from managing supply chains and the other half from freight brokerage, a company spokeswoman said.

“I have known Charlie for years and he brings a vast amount of industry career experience in sales and marketing. He will be an excellent addition to our Enterprise Division and we couldn’t be more excited,” said Bobby Harris, CEO of BlueGrace Logistics.

Earlier this year, private equity firm Warburg-Pincus invested $255 million in BlueGrace. Over the past 18 months the company purchased back more than 30 franchise locations and expanded their offices in Chicago, Baltimore, Boston and Richmond, Virginia, according to the company.
