Vehicle parts manufacturer Visteon Corp. posted a fourth-quarter profit, improving upon the loss it experienced during the same time in 2011.
The Van Buren, Mich., component manufacturer said Thursday it earned $39 million, or 74 cents a share, on quarterly revenue of $1.82 billion.
In the 2011 quarter, Visteon lost $26 million, or 51 cents a share, on revenue of $1.73 billion.
Visteon said its fourth-quarter sales were the strongest of the year. Annual net income rose from 2011, even though its revenue declined.
