Knight Transportation said its third-quarter profit was flat from a year ago due in part to higher fuel prices and a slower economy.
Net income increased 0.1% to $16.6 million; earnings per share were unchanged at 21 cents a share.
Revenue rose 4.8% to $237.9 million, the truckload carrier said late Wednesday.
Phoenix-based Knight Transportation is ranked No. 30 on the Transport Topics 100 listing of U.S. and Canadian for-hire carriers.
