The average U.S. pump price of diesel exhaust fluid rose 7 cents to $2.77 a gallon in August from July, Integer Research reported.
U.S. truck stop operators added bulk DEF dispensers at 54 locations in August, bringing the total to 623, U.K.-based Integer said.
DEF had dropped 28 cents in July to $2.70 per gallon, the lowest level on record, following four straight months of rising prices.
The July decline was due in part to a similar price decline for urea, the main ingredient in DEF.
