Larry Smith/Trans Pixs

Gasoline rose 9.6 cents in the past two weeks to $3.51 a gallon, according to the latest Lundberg Survey of filling stations released Sunday.

Premium and mid-grade gasoline each rose 9 cents, to $3.78 and $3.66 per gallon, respectively, analyst Trilby Lundberg said in her twice-monthly survey of filling stations.

Jackson, Miss., registered the lowest average price $3.18, the price on Long Island, N.Y., was the highest, at $3.83.

Oil closed at more than $90 a barrel Friday on the New York Mercantile Exchange for the first time in a week, Bloomberg reported.

Crude futures have finished New York Mercantile Exchange trading at more than $90 just three times in the past two months — on Friday and a week earlier, on July 19 and 20, according to Bloomberg Nymex figures.

The U.S. will release its weekly survey of diesel and gasoline pump prices Monday afternoon in Washington.
