Hub Group Inc.’s second-quarter profit rose 18% as its intermodal and logistics operations improved.
Net income rose to $16.9 million, or 46 cents per share, from $14.4 million, or 39 cents, a year ago.
Revenue rose to $778.3 million, from $751.2 million, Hub Group said late Thursday.
Intermodal revenue rose 9% to $432 million, truck brokerage revenue fell 11% to $80 million and revenue at its Unyson Logistics unit rose 13% to $84 million.
Hub Group is ranked No. 40 on the Transport Topics Logistics 50 listing of U.S. and Canadian logistics companies.
