Lineage Logistics Buys Castle & Cooke

Lineage Logistics said it has acquired Castle & Cooke Cold Storage, Colton, Calif., for an undisclosed sum.

CCCS had been owned by Los Angeles investment firm Castle & Cooke Inc. Lineage said the transaction gives it 12 million square feet of warehousing space.

CCCS operates 24 facilities in California, Illinois, Maryland, Missouri, Georgia and Texas.

Lineage Logistics was created in April when San Francisco investment firm Bay Grove Capital LLC merged Seafreeze Cold Storage, CityIce Cold Storage, Flint River Services, Terminal Freezers and Richmond Cold Storage Co., into one company.
