IdleAir Debuts Electrification Site in Arizona

IdleAir, which provides truck stop electrification services, said it has opened a location on Interstate 10 in Benson, Ariz., its 26th station in the United States.

The facility is at Exit 302, adjacent to a Love’s Travel Stop.

IdleAir said its full-service package, including air conditioning, heating, electric power, Internet and television service, will be offered until April 30 at a discount of about 30% from the typical $1.99 per hour charge at other locations.

IdleAir is part of the burgeoning movement to offer electric services at truck stops for drivers who do not have or do not want auxiliary power units. Among the other truck stop electrification providers are Shore Power Technologies and EnviroDock.
