APU Maker RigMaster Ceases Operations

RigMaster Power Corp., a Canadian manufacturer of auxiliary power units, has ceased all operations, according to a voice message on its telephone.

The Toronto-based manufacturer began in 1993, and the company’s Web site describes itself as a maker of “premium, stand-alone APUs.” The company had an extensive network of U.S. and Canadian outlets, mainly through truck dealerships.

RigMaster was owned by Harper Group Inc., also of Toronto, and Tori Harper was RigMaster’s final president, having been appointed to that job in August, according to RigMaster.

The voicemail message said RigMaster is not selling any more units or spare parts.
