ord Motor Co. reported lower automobile and light truck sales Tuesday while DaimlerChrysler AG reported an increase in auto sales.
Ford said in a statement that its auto sales in April fell 1.5% compared with last April, which was in line with analysts’ projections, Bloomberg reported.
The company’s truck sales fell 2.4% and were down about 10% for the year, CNBC reported.
DaimlerChrysler said its April U.S. sales auto of Chrysler and Mercedes vehicles rose 8.7%, which was well above analysts’ expectations, CNBC said.
General Motors Corp. is scheduled to report its sales later Tuesday.
