Amtrak Train Hits Dump Truck

MILWAUKEE (AP) - An Amtrak train en route to Chicago from the West Coast was delayed several hours Tuesday by a collision with a truck on Milwaukee's west side.

The eastbound Empire Builder hit a dump truck at a private crossing to a concrete-mixing company.

The truck driver and two train crew members were injured, none critically.

None of the approximately 230 passengers was injured, Police Department spokeswoman Karen Pride Garvin said.

The train was eventually towed to the downtown terminal.
