ir cargo firm ABX Air reported late Tuesday it earned $6.8 million or 12 cents a share in the second quarter, up from $5.8 million or 10 cents a year earlier.

The company’s revenue rose 27.9% to $351.2 million, ABX said in a statement.

Revenue from customers other than DHL Express grew 84.3% to $7 million, while earnings from non-DHL sources grew to $1.7 million, a 55.2% increase, ABX said.

ABX has two agreements with DHL: an aircraft, crew and maintenance agreement, and a hub and line-haul agreement.

Separately, ABX said it had amended the hub and line-haul agreement, extending it one year through Aug. 15, 2007.

The agreement covers package handling, sorting, warehousing, line-haul logistics and maintenance services.
