ABF, Teamsters Reach Tentative Five-Year Agreement

ABF Freight System and the Teamsters union said they have reached a tentative five-year labor agreement, although no details were disclosed.

“We are very pleased to announce that the ABF and Teamster negotiating teams have reached a tentative agreement on a contract for the next five years,” ABF said in a Securities and Exchange Commission filing released late Friday.

The Teamsters said in a separate statement that no details of the agreement would be released until its local members reviewed the agreement and decided whether to endorse it.

ABF and the Teamsters recently agreed to extend their ongoing negotiations though the end of May.
