Report on Driver Delays Gets More Time to Be Completed

WASHINGTON — A congressionally mandated Department of Transportation Office of Inspector General audit of motor carrier delays in loading and unloading has been delayed until late summer or early fall, a top official with the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration said June 12.

An advisory committee to the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration offered the agency guidelines on how to revise insurance minimums, submitted a final report on the recently concluded Mexican trucks pilot program and heard an update on new rules that FMCSA will propose for its Compliance, Safety, Accountability program.
