Werner Introduces New App for Drivers

Werner Enterprises launched a new app to help make work easier for its professional drivers, the company announced July 9.
The Drive Werner Pro app offers drivers access to trip details and load statuses, and allows them to search job opportunities, submit paperwork, contact their transportation manager and find documents. Werner Edge is the innovation arm of the company that helped develop the app.
“With mobile devices playing such a vital role in our daily lives, it made sense to develop the next generation of this app for our professional drivers,” Daragh Mahon, executive vice president and chief information officer, said in a statement.

“Developing solutions for our professional drivers is key to our success and a key pillar of Werner Edge’s goal of bettering the industry through technology,” he added.
Werner said the app strengthens its commitment and support for its professional drivers. Drive Werner Pro is an evolution of the first Drive Werner app.
The professional drivers have access to the new app immediately either through their mobile device or on their EDGE Connect tablet. Werner EDGE plans to continue enhancing and adding to its features based upon driver needs.
