TMC FutureTech 2015 Applications Deadline Extended to Aug. 28

American Trucking Associations’ Technology & Maintenance Council has extended the deadline for the National Student Technician Competition, TMC FutureTech 2015, to Aug. 28. Velociti, the event sponsor, has the application form on its website.

The event, designed to promote career opportunities as heavy-truck technicians, is part of the National Technician Skills Competition —TMC SuperTech 2015 — held by American Trucking Associations’ Technology & Maintenance Council during Sept. 21-24 in Orlando, Florida.

TMC FutureTech 2015 consists of a set of skill stations for technician students that takes place at the same time as TMC SuperTech 2015 for professional technicians. This year, the student competition will be held Sept. 22. Winners will be announced the next day at the TMC SuperTech 2015 awards luncheon. Registration for TMCFutureTech 2015 is $200 and limited to 80 individuals.

Velociti will award a starter toolbox to the top three student winners at the TMC SuperTech 2015 luncheon and present electric training boards to the schools of the top three winners during the TMC Annual Meeting in March.
