Third-Quarter GDP Is Highest in Four Years

The U.S. economy expanded at a 4.9 % annual growth rate in the third quarter — the most in four years and 1% more than originally reported, the Commerce Department said Thursday.

The level followed a 3.8% in the second quarter.

Growth is expected to slow to 1.5% or less in the fourth quarter, the Associated Press reported.
