TravelCenters of America announced Jan. 15 it has opened a new TA Express truck stop in Kilgore, Texas.

Truck drivers on Interstate 20 can find it at Exit 587, about 120 miles east of Dallas. The site offers diesel fuel pumps, resting facilities and additional amenities.

The location was previously occupied by a Gateway Travel Plaza, owned by Gateway of Kilgore Inc., which agreed to a franchise deal with TravelCenters. TravelCenters’ nationwide presence includes TA and Petro Stopping Centers.

“With the highest concentration of truck traffic in the nation, Texas is a state where drivers could benefit from our offerings,” Barry Richards, president and chief operating officer of TA, said in a statement. “The addition of 50 truck parking spaces is an example of the Gateway of Kilgore team’s commitment to its loyal customer base. We’re proud they chose to align with us and make us part of their honorable local reputation.”
