Oil prices fell to close below $68 a barrel Thursday on concerns over the economy, Bloomberg reported.

Oil had closed unchanged on the New York Mercantile Exchange Wednesday from Tuesday’s closing price of $68.05 a barrel.

Gasoline stockpiles fell by 3 million barrels last week to an 11-week low, the Energy Department reported Wednesday, though inventories of crude and distillates, which include diesel, rose for the week ended Saturday.
