Mack Trucks Inc. and Volvo Trucks North America, both units of Volvo Group, said they renewed their contract with Decisiv Inc., which provides the ASIST service relationship management tool that both manufacturers use.

The ASIST feature consolidates communication through the entire process, allowing all parties to remain informed on the status of their vehicles before, during and after service events, according to the companies, each of which are based in Greensboro, North Carolina.

“Communication is critical to the uptime equation because it allows customers to make the best decision for their business,” Decisiv CEO Dick Hyatt said in a statement. “We look forward to continuing our collaboration with Mack and helping customers improve the financial return on their truck assets.”

The Volvo Group OEMs' partnership with Decisiv spans more than a decade. In that time, ASIST has evolved from a simple dealer estimating tool to providing customers with robust communications about the service event, including real-time access to Mack and VTNA for warranty, recalls, service bulletins and build information as well as third-party systems.

Decisiv is based in Glen Allen, Virginia.
