Leading Economic Indicators Rise 0.6%

An index of leading economic indicators rose 0.6% in July, the fourth consecutive increase, the New York-based Conference Board said Thursday.

The increase followed a revised 0.8% increase in June that was higher than first reported, the group said.

The LEI is closely watched by trucking companies because it forecasts business activity for the next three to six months.
