Iteris Reports Higher Income for Quarter, Fiscal Year

Iteris Inc., which makes lane-departure warning systems for the trucking industry, reported its fiscal fourth-quarter profit improved from a year ago.

Its net income was $7.9 million, or 23 cents per share, up from $1.6 million, or 5 cents, a year earlier.

Net sales and contract revenue rose to $17.1 million, from $15.1 million, for the fiscal quarter ended March 31, Iteris said in a statement.

For the full fiscal year, Iteris earned $12.2 million, or 35 cents a share, from $2.9 million, or 9 cents, a year ago. Revenue rose to $65.2 million, from $58.3 million.



Iteris said that, 62 heavy-duty truck fleets have selected its LDW system, representing about 45,000 trucks, and that testing of the LDW systems continues with 82 fleets, which it estimates represent more than 160,000 vehicles.
