Trucking technology supplier ERoad has expanded its video telematics product line with the ERoad Clarity Solo Dashcam.

The stand-alone camera product is designed to make it easier for motor carriers to implement video telematics across a broader range of assets and fleet types, including mixed fleets, heavy shorthaul operations and light commercial vehicle fleets.

The ERoad Clarity Solo’s dual-facing camera shows fleet owners what their drivers see during critical events to help ensure driver safety and protection from false claims.

ERoad debuted the product at American Trucking Association’s Management Conference & Exhibition in Nashville, Tenn.

“Today, driver exoneration by video is an absolute imperative for fleet operators to protect their drivers and their businesses,” said Jim Angel, ERoad’s vice president of video telematics. “This is especially true for heavy shorthaul fleets such as waste and construction trucks or light commercial delivery vehicles that are navigating challenging environments, like busy and construction-ridden city streets and residential neighborhoods.”

To streamline safety investigations, ERoad’s fleet management cloud portal now enables fleets to search video based on driver location in addition to the time of day. This added search functionality will be available across ERoad’s video telematics products. — Transport Topics
