Cox Automotive Launches Cox Fleet for Trucking
Brand Combines Fleet Services and FleetNet America
Key Takeaways:
- Cox Automotive launched Cox Fleet, uniting Fleet Services and FleetNet America under one brand to support trucking and fleet operators nationwide.
- The company said Cox Fleet focuses on vehicle uptime and maintenance efficiency, offering managed maintenance, roadside assistance and access to more than 65,000 service providers.
Cox Automotive unveiled Cox Fleet, a new fleet services brand that combines its commercial vehicle maintenance and roadside operations under a single organization.
The launch follows Cox Automotive’s earlier announcement to unite Fleet Services and FleetNet America, bringing the two businesses together under one brand aimed at supporting trucking and fleet operators nationwide. Company executives said Cox Fleet is intended to focus on vehicle uptime and maintenance efficiency rather than operating as a stand-alone rebrand.
“Cox Fleet is a clear signal of our long-term commitment to the fleets that keep our economy moving,” said Patrick Brennan, senior vice president of Cox Fleet. “By bringing our people, technology and service capabilities together under one brand, Cox Fleet is designed to help clients improve uptime and better manage total cost of ownership.”
Cox Fleet supports fleets of varying sizes through a national service model that combines centralized coordination with local service delivery. The organization operates a marketplace of more than 65,000 service providers and employs more than 1,500 technicians who provide direct, on-site support. A 24/7/365 nationwide support team coordinates service events, including scheduled maintenance and emergency roadside assistance.

Additional services include managed maintenance programs, parts support, and trailer and truck body sales, according to the company.
Some customers use Cox Fleet technicians at their own facilities. Douglas Nunnally, transportation manager at Gourmet Foods International, said the company relies on Cox Fleet to support its trucks and drivers.
“We tremendously appreciate how Cox Fleet puts technicians on our yard, supporting our trucks and our drivers,” Nunnally said. “Cox Fleet takes on the responsibility of maintaining our vehicles on the road and at our facility.”
Joe George, president of Cox Automotive Mobility Solutions, said the launch aligns with the company’s broader history of operating and scaling marketplace-driven businesses.
“For 128 years, our Cox family business led through many eras of innovation,” George said, citing the company’s evolution from its origins in newspapers to broadcast, telecommunications and automotive services. With Cox Fleet, he said, the company is focused on removing friction from fleet operations and supporting supply chains.
Cox Automotive said unifying its fleet operations under one brand positions the business to continue investing in fleet maintenance services as customer needs evolve.
