Con-way Sets Multimodal Unit To Expand Truck Brokerage
Con-way, Inc. said it has formed a multimodal unit to focus on expanding truck brokerage and offer a broader range of services to its customers.
The company said late Wednesday that the new unit, to be based in Portland, Ore., will replace brokerage services that were offered by Con-way Truckload Services and will be part of Menlo Worldwide Logistics, Con-way’s freight management unit.
Tyler Ellison, formerly a Schneider National executive, was named the division’s president.
Con-way Inc. is ranked No. 6 on the Transport Topics 100 listing of U.S. and Canadian for-hire carriers.
