Calif. Ruling Not Expected to Halt Diesel Emissions Plan, ATA Says

A California judge late last week temporarily halted the state’s cap-and-trade plan aimed at reducing greenhouse gases emitted by large stationary sources.

However, Mike Tunnell, director of environmental affairs for American Trucking Associations, said he believes a deal between the California Air Resources Board and a coalition of environmental groups could be reached soon and allow the state’s low-carbon fuel standard and tractor-trailer greenhouse gas regulations to move forward.
