Worldwide Equipment Expands Services for Kenworth Customers

Truck dealership Worldwide Equipment Inc. has expanded and relocated operations to enhance sales, parts availability and service for customers operating Kenworth Truck Co. vehicles in the coal-producing region of Eastern Kentucky and West Virginia.

“Worldwide Equipment’s significant investments are focused on serving our customers based in Appalachia and those traveling through the region. With these new dealerships and relocations, fleets and their drivers have access to expanded parts and service offerings, including an additional 18 service bays in modern, updated and conveniently located dealerships that can be easily expanded as our business grows,” Worldwide Equipment CEO Terry Dotson said.



Worldwide relocated its full-service Kenworth dealership in Prestonsburg, Ky., to an existing 22,000 square-foot site in Louisa, Ky.

Also, it relocated its former Kenworth parts and service store in South Charleston, W.Va., to a larger and more modern, 32,000-square-foot facility in Cross Lanes, W.Va., and upgraded it to a full-service dealership, according to the company.

Worldwide opened a new Kenworth parts and service dealerships in Lowmansville, Ky., and White Sulphur Springs, W.Va.

Worldwide Equipment, based in Prestonsburg, Ky., operates in six states with full-service dealerships, leasing locations, satellite parts stores, detail shops, a custom fabrication shop and a driveline shop. It also has franchises for Mack Trucks, Volvo Trucks North America and International Truck, among others, according to its website.
