WiseTech Global Buys SaaS Transportation

International logistics software firm WiseTech Global purchased SaaS Transportation, a provider of less-than-truckload and logistics transportation management solutions that include integrated quoting, booking and tracking. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Destin, Fla.-based SaaS Transportation also offers a specialist LTL freight rating engine with connections to FedEx Freight, Con-way Freight/XPO Logistics, Day & Ross Freight, Old Dominion Freight Line, UPS Freight and YRC Freight.

WiseTech CEO Richard White said that adding SaaS Transportation and its connections to more than 70 LTL carriers in the United States “fits into our adjacency acquisition strategy and will extend our road booking and road rates offering to our customer base.”



SaaS Transportation General Manager Ken Pehanick will continue to lead its operations.

Sydney-based WiseTech’s customers include more than 7,000 logistics companies in 130 countries, including 33 of the top 50 global 3PLs. Its CargoWise One software executes more than 44 billion data transactions annually.
