Ward Transport & Logistics and Dependable Highway Express announced a less-than-truckload network between Western states and the Mid-Atlantic, beginning Aug. 1.
The two carriers said in a joint statement that the venture, which will link California, Nevada and Arizona to the East, “will provide a strategic alignment of their companies in response to their customers’ request to expand their portfolio of solutions.”
Ward’s Chairman and CEO Bill Ward said the partnership will expand his company’s services beyond its current service area of the Northeast, Southeast and Southwest, in addition to the Middle Atlantic.
Los Angeles-based DHE is part of The Dependable Cos., which includes Dependable Logistics Solutions and Dependable Distribution Centers. The companies provide truckload, third-party logistics, warehousing and distribution and drayage services.
DHE’s CEO Ron Massman said his company “is very excited about the opportunity to work in partnership with a quality carrier such as Ward and to be able to provide the same high level of service our customers have come to expect from us.”
