Volvo, UAW Ratify Agreement for Virginia Truck Plant

olvo Trucks North America said Saturday that its employees represented by the United Auto Workers ratified new three-year labor agreements covering about 2,800 UAW members at its New River Valley manufacturing plant in Dublin, Va.

The new contracts are effective as of Feb. 1 and run through Jan. 31, 2008.

“With these agreements, VTNA and the UAW have again demonstrated their commitment to working together to meet the needs of our customers,” Peter Karlsten, chief executive officer of VTNA, said in a statement.



At the plant, the company assembles Volvo VN and VHD trucks.
