Trucking Revenue Rises, Turnover Remains High, ATA Reports

n a seasonally adjusted basis, truckload and less-than-truckload revenue jumped 2.7% and 5.5%, respectively, from September to October, American Trucking Associations said.

Large truckload carriers had an annualized turnover rate of 135% in the third quarter, just shy of the record high 136% rate set in the fourth quarter of 2004.

Small truckload carriers reported a turnover rate of 91%s — 10% more than in the previous quarter, ATA said.



During the same period, LTL carriers had a turnover rate of only 12%, ATA reported.
