Truck Driver Appreciation Week Is Under Way

The annual National Truck Driver Association Week began Sunday and will run through Saturday, American Trucking Associations said.

“National Truck Driver Appreciation Week is about celebrating our professional drivers and letting them know they are valued,” said Elisabeth Barna, ATA’s vice president for strategic planning and outreach.

Motor carriers, state trucking associations, and trucking industry manufacturers and suppliers can still order items to give our professional truck drivers during National Truck Driver Appreciation Week.

NTDAW items include banners, t-shirts, hats and log book rulers — all with the 2008 National Truck Driver Appreciation Week logo.

National Truck Driver Appreciation Week celebrates America’s professional truck driver and recognizes the integral role drivers serve in delivering everything we need safely and efficiently. The annual event is sponsored by ATA.
