Trimac Buys Assets from Transport Rollex

Trimac Transportation Ltd. has purchased assets from Transport Rollex Ltee to carry bulk liquids under contract to Canadian and U.S. destinations from a Quebec chemical plant.

 

Trimac Transportation, a unit of Trimac Group, didn’t disclose the purchase price or the customer. A total of eight power units and 22 trailers are included in the agreement, which represents annual revenue of about C$3 million, the Trimac statement said.

 



Trimac Group, which ranks No. 45 on Transport Topics Top 100 list of the largest U.S. and Canadian for-hire carriers, is based in Calgary, Alberta, with a fleet of more than 2,100 power units, offering bulk logistics services. Transport Rollex is a unit of Groupe Robert of Boucherville, Quebec, which operates a variety of motor carrier services with more than 1,100 power units.

 

“The asset purchase from Rollex is consistent with our strategic objective to expand our market share in Quebec,” Trimac Transportation Chief Operating Officer Ed Malysa said in a Dec. 14 statement.
