TransForce Inc. Adds Driving Ambition to Holdings

TransForce Inc., a driver leasing and workforce management company in Alexandria, Va., has acquired assets of Driving Ambition Inc., a regional provider of commercial truck drivers with operations in six states, company officials announced Sept. 26.

Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

The acquisition is the first in more than a year for TransForce, which made six purchases over the prior three years to expand its operations throughout the United States and Canada. Driving Ambition’s operations are concentrated in Indiana, Ohio, Kentucky, Tennessee, Missouri and Michigan.

“Acquisitions are part of our growth strategy,” TransForce CEO David Broome said. “Along with organic growth, we continue to seek acquisition with like-minded companies such as Driving Ambition that are market leaders in providing high-quality services to the transportation and logistics industry.”

TransForce’s most recent purchase was K.A.S. Personnel Services in Mississauga, Ontario, in July 2016.

Broome said Driving Ambition will operate independently for the rest of 2017 and then integrate into TransForce during the first quarter of 2018.

Driving Ambition CEO Jeremy Reymer said the company is excited about the future with TransForce. “Not only does TransForce mirror our quality business practices, they mirror our dedication to the transportation industry,” he said in a statement.

Broome said the senior management team at Driving Ambition will join TransForce, but Reymer will leave the company to focus on a new business, called DriverReach, that provides an online driver-applicant tracking system.

Based in Indianapolis, Driving Ambition has offices in Cincinnati, Cleveland, Columbus, Dayton and Toledo in Ohio; Detroit; Evansville, Fort Wayne and South Bend in Indiana; Kansas City, Mo.; Lexington and Louisville in Kentucky; and Memphis and Nashville in Tennessee.

TransForce, founded in 1991, operates 66 locations across the United States and Canada, and dispatches more than 2,500 drivers daily. The company also offers help with safety audit preparedness, driver qualification and training, and motor carrier regulatory education services.
