Utah Readying PrePass Weigh-Station Technology
Utah will deploy PrePass at all major weigh stations during the first quarter of next year and will become the 25th state to install the high-tech electronic weigh station bypass service, PrePass said Monday.PrePass technology that makes it possible for participating motor carriers to comply electronically with state weight, safety and credential requirements at weigh stations and ports of entry while traveling at highway speeds.

DDC Sets Engine Technician Program
Engine maker Detroit Diesel Corp. said it has launched of a service technician program, Guild 2.0, to better serve its customers.DDC said that with the launch of the new program, service outlets are increasing their focus on ensuring faster service and improved quality for its customers.
“Those who work on [DDC] engines need better tools and training as each generation of engines becomes increasing complex. We are confident G2 is a way to make certain this happens,” said Carsten Reinhardt, DDC’s chief executive officer.

Kenworth Offers Fuel-Economy Guide
