Swedish truck maker Scania AB plans to boost 2006 shareholder dividends to about $1.43 billion, as booming European sales leave truck makers flush with cash, Bloomberg reported Thursday.The board of directors of the company — the subject of the target of a failed takeover by Germany’s MAN AG — is recommending a 2006 distribution of about $7.15 a share, Scania said in a statement, Bloomberg reported.Scania is also recommending a 5-for-1 share split. Last year Scania paid out about $430 million to shareholders, or $2.15 a share, Bloomberg reported.
