SAF-Holland Group announced its new CBXA AeroBeam Series of fixed frame suspensions, calling them the lightest weight top mount trailer air suspensions in the industry.

The CBXA includes 23,000-, 25,000- and 30,000-pound capacity models and is aimed at standing up to the rigorous demands of on and on/off-highway tanker, bulk hauler, platform and specialty trailer applications, according to the Muskegon, Mich.-based company.

The CBXA AeroBeam features a 5.75-inch diameter axle that is 19% more rigid than competitive axles, greatly reducing axle deflection to improve tire life, the company noted.

Fleets can save an additional 62 pounds per axle by specifying an optional disc brake wheel-end package, featuring the industry’s lightest weight wheel hub/rotor assembly and the lightweight SAF caliper.

In other news, the company named Randy Flanagan vice president of sales for the Americas with the intention of further strengthening the relationships with the company’s truck and trailer customers. Flanagan was most recently vice president of sales at Stoughton Trailers. It is his third tour with SAF-Holland.

Also, Carl Mesker, vice president of sales and aftermarket for the Americas, is retiring after more than 20 years at SAF-Holland. — Transport Topics
