Rand McNally Releases Remote Navigation Tool for Fleet Managers
Rand McNally released a Web-based navigation tool that allows fleet managers to remotely control and customize routes taken by their drivers.
TrueTrack works with Rand McNally’s TPC 7600 and TND 760 devices, and all customers with Web-portal log-ins have access to the software.
“TrueTrack will provide a single version of the truth, creating alignment between fleet managers and drivers on the route driven, actual miles and the estimated time of arrival,” Senior Vice President Jim Rodi said in a statement.
Fleet supervisors can remotely manage and pre-set routes, set driver alerts such as toll roads and speed limit changes, and monitor a vehicle’s destination.
“Using Rand McNally’s TrueTrack products, fleets will be able to create a completely custom set of step-by-step directions and push the route down to the driver. Alerts will be generated when a truck deviates from its assigned route,” according to the technology provider.
